The weekend of accomplishing great things...

This weekend, it was hard to believe everything that was accomplished. We all need a 'weekend of accomplishing great things' or so I say...

It was a time for catching up, organizing, and regaining focus of the little things that were pushed to the wayside. It also included making a delicious homemade chicken noodle soup to beat the wintry weather mix outside!

Even Rocco was in on the accomplishing... he likes pens.
He had a one way ticket to Virginia this winter. He has some anxiety issues and doesn't like to be left alone (he was a stray, weighing a whole 5 pounds when I found him). Since Adam works from home now, they are having a great time. Me, I've been busy hitting the road trying to get ready for Spring!

He has been doing some strange things since bachelor padding it up with Adam. I'm just ready for them to be making the big move to Iowa... soon enough!

Spring Fever!

Until now, it has felt a lot like Spring in the Midwest. A little snow fell in the last couple of days, and its collldddd outside!

The last week has been a work whirlwind. I'm still not sure how I accomplished it... but I'm here somehow! This is a rare occasion that I talk about work, but here goes... because I'm ready to be outside!

We had the Green Centre Show in Overland Park, KS last Sunday and Monday. We shipped a small amount of plants for our booth and mentor Brad from TN came and helped with the show. Our booth was right next to Hines, and I ended up with this really neat Meyer Improved Lemon in a deco pot! So far, 6 lemons that are ready, quite a few that will be lemons soon, and lots of blooms. It definitely made my show. Honestly it is so hard to ship citrus into other states because of quarantine issues- no longer can citrus be shipped from AZ or FL, parts of TX, and parts of CA.

So after taking customers out, watching the New Hampshire primary, and packing up the booth- we grabbed the last flight out to Baltimore for the MANTS show. We almost missed it... but ended up in Baltimore at midnight. After enjoying some great seafood and get togethers, I was back to Kansas City the next day.

So I'm ready to hit the ground running again... ready for work, ready to plan a  huge vegetable garden with my friends (can and give the extra's to food banks), and ready for a house instead of apartment.

I used to live in Visalia, surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountains and citrus groves.
